Perth is located in the very heart of Scotland in a rich fertile valley on the banks of the glorious River Tay, the longest river in the United Kingdom. Perth was once the capital of Scotland, a royal residence and the centre of government in the Middle Ages. The City is surrounded by some of Scotland's finest scenery and visitor attractions so there is always something guaranteed to interest everyone. The considerable achievements of  beautiful Perth in the last fifteen or so years have added to the attractions!

Perth lies within reach of 90% of Scotland's population, within a 90-minute travel time, and so it is never far away from anywhere, or anyone, in Scotland. The City is served by a good, central railway station, a bus station, good access motorways (one hour from Edinburgh or Glasgow) and the nearest airport is at Edinburgh, only 50 minutes away.
